Renting or hiring a car in France can be a great way to see the country, but there are a few things you should be aware of.
Before you rent the car ensure you read their terms and conditions carefully, there may be restrictions on mileage, what kinds of roads you can drive on, for example no off-road driving etc.
Also be sure when you pick the car up you check the fuel level and how much petrol should be in the car when you return it. If the car comes with a full tank of fuel it is normal to bring it back with the same fuel level. Tip: Fill the car up before you bring it back as many hire companies will charge a much higher rate for fuel than local suppliers.
Before you except the car make sure you go around the vehicle and make a note of all dents or scratches, so there are no disputes when you return the vehicle.

If you follow the above car hire in France should be a great experience and a pleasurable one.
