You will have to make a decision about what you want to do with your car gearbox, and this will mean having it replaced with a brand new one or having a reconditioned gearbox fitted. Often, the choice will be up to you about whether you opt for a reconditioned gearbox or a new one putting in place, and it may be a cost-based decision. In terms of car gearbox repairs, a reconditioned gearbox is always going to be the cheaper option, whereas a brand new one will cost a pretty penny.
