how do you pull the rear axles on a 78 dodge pu? do they just pull or do they have some kind of keeper.?
do i need some kind of puller to pop them out. i was putting brakes on and found out the bearings are shot. the axle moves about 1/4 in with just my hands.
remove the cover and then you,ll see a bolt head size 5/16,ths use a small socket or wrench to remove it and remove the keepers,then the axles will come out,its really a simple process its just messy,and takes some time,you might want a repair manual to use while your doing this one,they do help a lot sometimes,good luck with it.
