In The Market For A New Cadillac Car, Suv Or Truck?

Cadillac helped to define advanced engineering, luxury and style early in Automotive History and would come to be known as one of the world’s finest-made vehicles. Precision manufacturing of truly interchangeable parts was an award-winning industry first in 1908. Cadillac was the first manufacturer to release cars with a fully enclosed cab as factory equipment in 1910. In 1912, Cadillac was the first manufacturer to incorporate a successful electric starter on their cars equipped with gasoline internal combustion engines, replacing the hand starting crank; the device was developed by Charles Kettering and was marketed as a convenience device for female drivers. This along with electric lighting was another award winner for that year.

Most Recently, Cadillac was acknowledged with two EyesOn Design Awards for Design Excellence honors at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The 2009 CTS-V performance sedan captured the production car award and the concept car category honor went to the dramatic CTS Coupe Concept. It was the second straight year the CTS lineup was acknowledged by the EyesOn Design judges – the 2008 CTS sedan won the production car category at the ’07 NAIAS.

Cadillac’s new 2008 CTS sports sedan, already a hit with critics and luxury consumers and just earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick for 2008. The award results from CTS earning the Institute’s highest ratings in front, side and rear crash testing, as well as standard application of Stabilitrak electronic stability control system, which can help drivers avoid crashes. The CTS is one of only three large luxury cars to earn this designation. Check out New Cadillac for more information on the 2008 CTS.

Another favorite among consumers is the Cadillac Escalade. Having earned a position as the image and sales leader among large luxury SUVs, Cadillac Escalade enters 2008 looking to extend its considerable momentum. With three body styles – Escalade, and the extended length Escalade ESV and EXT luxury sport-utility truck – Cadillac offers the widest array of models in the segment. The 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT brings unmatched versatility to the Escalade family of luxury SUVs, combining pickup truck-style functionality into a thoroughly luxurious Escalade. This broad lineup will expand even further when the Escalade Platinum edition and the Escalade Hybrid join the family later in 2008.
